Cymru leave Albania with the advantage in this tie following a 1-0 win.

Rhian Wilkinson's Cymru secured a hard-fought 1-0 away victory against Albania at the Loro Boriçi Stadium on October 9, 2026. Cymru claimed the advantage in the first leg thanks to a 21st-minute own goal, which deflected in from a Lily Woodham corner via an Albanian defender.
Albania pressed for an equalizer in the second half, with Fortesa Berisha striking the post and Qendresa Krasniqi having a goal disallowed for offside. Goalkeeper Safia Middleton-Patel made crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet, ensuring Cymru take a one-goal lead into the second leg in Llanelli.
