FAW shares new research on how coaches can be better equipped to manage the demands of their role at the UEFA Coach Education Conference.

The Football Association of Wales presented new research on supporting coach well-being and managing workplace demands at the 15th UEFA Coach Education Conference in Rome. FAW Chief Football Officer Dr Dave Adams and Professor Brendan Cropley shared findings from the FAW Centre for Football Research, which collaborated with Professor David Shearer and Dr Lee Baldock from the University of South Wales.
The workshop, titled "Thriving Under Fire: Developing the Coach as a Performer Through Formal Coach Education," framed coaches as performers who need strategies to manage pressure and stress. The findings will directly shape the FAW's coaching education and support its 10-year strategy, Llunio Cymru, alongside a new High Performance Plan.
