A new chapter in the future of Cymru goalkeeping has begun with the launch of the FAW National Domestic Academy Goalkeeper Coach Development and Talent ID programme.

The Football Association of Wales has launched the FAW National Domestic Academy Goalkeeper Coach Development and Talent ID programme to improve goalkeeping across the country. Led by FAW Head of National Goalkeeping Alex Ramsay, the initiative is designed to strengthen coach education within the domestic academy system and establish a structured method for identifying young goalkeeping talent.
Delivered in collaboration with Cardiff City, Swansea City, and Wrexham, the programme covers both boys' and girls' pathways. The inaugural event took place at the Cardiff City Academy, featuring 20 young goalkeepers participating in practical sessions while coaches received tailored development training.
