The latest rugby news from Wales and around the world…

RGC's upcoming fixture against Swansea has been postponed following the sudden death of 24-year-old player Jack Davies. Tributes across Welsh rugby honored Davies, who came through the RGC pathway and Caernarfon before returning to senior rugby in 2023. Meanwhile, Cardiff coach Corniel van Zyl outlined plans to manage veteran number eight Taulupe Faletau's minutes after Wales head coach Steve Tandy kept open the possibility of a fourth World Cup appearance.
Van Zyl also confirmed that Cardiff back Jacob Beetham will miss several weeks due to an injury sustained against Leinster. Elsewhere, England captain Maro Itoje is in contract extension talks with Saracens amid reported interest from French Top 14 sides Bordeaux-Begles and Perpignan.
