La Liga president Javier Tebas has launched a fresh attack on Real Madrid and publicly questioned Spain's National Sports Council chief over demands for an apology. The conflict erupted after Tebas compared Real Madrid's communication strategies and Real Madrid TV coverage to the propaganda techniques of Nazi chief Joseph Goebbels.
In response to the controversial remarks, Real Madrid demanded the immediate resignation of Tebas from his positions at La Liga and the Spanish football federation. Spanish sports council president Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes criticized the comparison as unacceptable and urged Tebas to apologize, while the sports council considers potential disciplinary sanctions against him.
