Rayo Vallecano protest halted the Athletic Club match, leaving the fixture abandoned and Athletic facing another change to their schedule.

Rayo Vallecano's LaLiga match against Athletic Club was abandoned after home fans repeatedly threw paper planes and small balls onto the pitch in protest against club president Raúl Martín Presa. The objects first appeared in the 13th minute behind goalkeeper Unai Simón. Referee José María Sánchez Martínez paused play multiple times before definitively halting the fixture after protests continued.
The suspension forces another schedule change for Athletic Club, who returned to Bilbao without a confirmed replacement date. It marks the third date change in Athletic's opening eight league games, extending their competitive break dating back to September 19.
