Barcelona rout Alavés 6-1 to retake LaLiga lead before top-two clash with Atlético

Barcelona secured a dominant 6-1 home victory against Alavés at Spotify Camp Nou to reclaim first place in LaLiga. Hansi Flick's team established a commanding 4-0 lead before halftime courtesy of a brace from Raphinha and goals from Fermín López and Lamine Yamal. Yamal added another after the break before Gordon scored his first league goal for the club, while Mariano Díaz netted a late consolation for the visitors.

The commanding performance rebounded from consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Facing defensive absences, manager Hansi Flick deployed a reshuffled backline featuring midfielder Fariñas at right-back alongside Frenkie de Jong, Pau Cubarsí, and João Cancelo. The victory sets up a pivotal top-of-the-table clash with Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano.
