Dongpeng, Mengniu and Milkground have ended their deals with Kylian Mbappé over a meme clip, and LaLiga broadcasts in China have reportedly been suspended.

Kylian Mbappé faces major commercial fallout in China after Dongpeng, Mengniu, and Milkground terminated their partnership agreements with the Real Madrid forward. The backlash followed a clip from the online show The Bridge, in which Mbappé reportedly commented on a meme portraying his face on former Chinese leader Mao Zedong. The video has since been removed from YouTube by the show.
The controversy has also impacted Spanish football, with reports indicating China Media Group has suspended broadcasts involving LaLiga and Mbappé. Brands including Dior, On, and Hublot reportedly removed Mbappé content from their Weibo pages, while neither Real Madrid, LaLiga, nor Mbappé have issued a public comment.
