Barcelona manager Hansi Flick praised defender Gerard Martin after he made his 100th appearance for the club in a 3-0 victory over Getafe on Saturday night in La Liga. Flick described the 24-year-old as an "underrated player" with a great mentality, highlighting his commitment, confidence, and continued improvement.
Martin has established himself as a key contributor under Flick despite facing past criticism. Following his consistent top-level form, Barcelona is reportedly expected to offer the defender a contract extension shortly to secure his long-term future at the club.
