Barcelona battle Real Madrid for the ‘next Lamine Yamal’

Barcelona and Real Madrid are competing to sign Mexican teenager Gilberto Mora from Tijuana. Mora, who turns 18 in less than a month, has reportedly attracted long-standing interest from both Spanish giants ahead of an anticipated permanent transfer to Europe.

Tijuana recently signed Mora to a new contract that includes an exit mechanism featuring a reported release clause of around €25 million. The clause can only be triggered by European clubs, with Mora expected to move as early as 2027.
