Barcelona reportedly declined to pursue a permanent transfer for striker Nicolo Tresoldi during the summer transfer window due to his €50 million price tag. According to reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Catalan club maintained concrete interest in the 22-year-old forward but ultimately chose not to meet the valuation, instead signing Gabriel Jesus to bolster their attack.
Tresoldi has since enjoyed an impressive 2026-27 season, scoring seven goals in nine league appearances. His campaign highlights include a Champions League hat-trick during a 4-3 victory against Inter at San Siro, as well as a three-goal performance against St Truiden.
