Barcelona intend to keep 18-year-old striker Hamza Abdelkarim rather than send him on loan in January, according to Diario SPORT. Manager Hansi Flick values the forward's daily involvement in first-team training despite his limited minutes over the first six weeks of the season.
Abdelkarim has made just one brief appearance against Rayo Vallecano this season, but Barcelona have already signed him to an improved contract with a higher release clause. Flick plans to integrate the striker into his squad rotation following the international break to manage a congested fixture list.
