Barcelona keep a close eye on Palmeiras wonderkid Eduardo Conceição

FC Barcelona scouts monitored Palmeiras teenager Eduardo Conceição during the UEFA Friendship Cup in Nyon, Switzerland, according to Diario SPORT. The Spanish club has followed the winger for some time alongside rival interest from Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United. Barcelona views the youngster as a major talent but has not yet launched a formal permanent transfer bid due to his age.

Palmeiras protected Conceição by inserting a €100 million release clause into his recent contract. Academy director João Paulo Sampaio previously noted bids reaching up to €25 million, while Newcastle United reportedly had a €40 million offer rejected. The right-footed winger scored for Brazil under-17s during the tournament and cited Lamine Yamal and Estêvão Willian as style comparisons.
