Barcelona ended a two-game losing streak by defeating Alavés 6-1 at Spotify Camp Nou to reclaim the top spot in LaLiga. Hansi Flick's team responded quickly after Atlético Madrid had briefly taken first place earlier in the day. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal each scored twice, alongside goals from Fermín López and Anthony Gordon, while Mariano Díaz netted a late consolation goal for Alavés.
The victory came despite a makeshift defense, with Frenkie de Jong and Fariñas starting at center back due to injuries. Barcelona dominated the match with 77% possession and 13 shots. The Catalan side now prepares to face Aston Villa in the Champions League before a crucial league visit to Atlético Madrid.
