Barcelona send scout to watch teenage defender Arthur Dias after Brazil call-up

Barcelona have reportedly sent scout João Amaral to watch 19-year-old Athletico Paranaense defender Arthur Dias in action. The teenage left-footed center-back has drawn significant attention after being called up to the Brazil national team by manager Carlo Ancelotti for upcoming friendlies against Australia and India.

Dias is under contract with Athletico Paranaense until 2028, and the Brazilian club is reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of –30 million. Other clubs in Spain and England are also interested, with Tottenham Hotspur previously having a –21 million bid rejected for 80% of the player's economic rights.
