Barcelona to return to Olympic Stadium for first half of 2027-28 season

Barcelona is set to return to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuic for the first half of the 2027-28 season, according to an ESPN report. The temporary relocation will allow the club to finalize redevelopment work at the Camp Nou, which includes installing a new roof. The team is not scheduled to return to its home stadium until January 2028.

Upon Barcelona's expected return in January 2028, Camp Nou capacity will reach approximately 95,000, before eventually expanding to 105,000 once all renovations are completed. The venue is already confirmed to host the 2029 Champions League final, and club president Joan Laporta is aiming to host the 2030 World Cup final.
