Chelsea are ready to open contract extension talks with Levi Colwill as Barcelona consider a possible bid during the upcoming January transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to open contract extension talks with 23-year-old defender Levi Colwill. The move comes amid reported interest from Barcelona and Liverpool, with Barcelona having held internal discussions regarding a potential January transfer window bid. Colwill, valued at an Estimated Transfer Value of €63 million, is regarded as a key part of Chelsea's long-term future under Xabi Alonso.
Colwill's current contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2029, but Chelsea are keen to secure him on improved terms to fend off European suitors. A departure is considered unlikely, as Chelsea would demand a hefty fee for the academy graduate, and Colwill is expected to commit his future to the club.
