Barcelona are reportedly tracking Monza striker Gustavo Varela following his impressive start to the 2026-27 Serie A campaign. According to a report from Portuguese outlet A Bola, the Catalan club has entered the pursuit alongside Arsenal and Napoli after Varela scored nine goals in his first nine league matches.
Varela joined Monza from Benfica during the summer for €2 million plus variables, but his current valuation is reportedly between €40 million and €50 million for a permanent transfer. Benfica holds both a right of first refusal and a 20 percent sell-on clause should the forward move.
