‘It’s always a risk’ – Hansi Flick talks Barcelona’s high line ahead of PSG test

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick discussed the team's high defensive line during a press conference on Monday ahead of their Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain. Flick acknowledged that playing a high line carries inherent risks but emphasized that proactive pressing, rapid reactions upon losing possession, and maintaining proper defensive distances create substantial offensive advantages for the squad.

Writer Renato Gonçalves argues that Barcelona's current squad structure, anchored in midfield by Rodri and Pedri and pressed effectively from the front by Raphinha and Anthony Gordon, suits Flick's tactical demands. Flick also noted that while Barcelona has kept only one clean sheet across their last seven games, their high-risk setup enables them to consistently outscore opponents.
