Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez is reportedly preparing to appoint Pablo Barquero as his new agent after missing out on a permanent move to Barcelona. According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Alvarez plans to replace his current representative, Fernando Hidalgo, with Barquero, who also represents Barcelona midfielder Rodri.
Barquero recently managed Rodri's transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona following the 2026 World Cup. Although Barcelona reportedly remains Alvarez's dream destination, sporting director Deco previously noted that interest in the forward is in the past, even as Alvarez remains eager to leave Diego Simeone's squad.
