Lamine Yamal's father, Mounir Nasraoui, was involved in a street confrontation with Russian blogger Seva Kryseva outside the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London. Nasraoui reportedly swiped at Kryseva's phone after an unsolicited approach while he was smoking outside the venue. Former Arsenal player Andrey Arshavin intervened in the dispute, defending Nasraoui and reprimanding Kryseva for disturbing him.

The incident followed the awards ceremony where Barcelona's 19-year-old winger won his third consecutive Kopa Trophy, but missed out on the main Ballon d'Or award to Harry Kane.
