Barcelona youngster Xavi Espart has emerged as an injury concern ahead of Sunday's El Clasico clash with Real Madrid after suffering an ankle knock. The teenager picked up the injury during Barcelona's 4-2 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain and was substituted in the 74th minute as a precaution, despite having scored his first Champions League goal in the match.
Manager Hansi Flick is hoping Espart recovers in time as Barcelona faces a defensive shortage. The club is already without Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen, while Jules Kounde is not expected to return and Gerard Martin is managing a knock.
