The Carvajal Getafe move is agreed after his medical, but LaLiga registration depends on the club creating enough salary-cap space before approval.

Dani Carvajal is close to joining Getafe on a free transfer after completing a medical and reaching an agreement, but the move hinges on LaLiga registration approval. The 34-year-old former Real Madrid defender has been a free agent since June 30, 2026, and seeks to continue playing in Madrid.
Getafe president Ángel Torres confirmed the agreement and medical tests, but the club must clear room within LaLiga's salary-cap framework before registering the defender. Manager José Bordalás personally discussed the sporting project with Carvajal, though the move cannot become official until the league approves the signing.
