Julián Álvarez scored the only goal, from a Grimaldo assist, as Atlético moved to two points behind leaders Barcelona, despite the visitors' higher expected goals.

Julián Álvarez scored the only goal to give Atlético Madrid a 1-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruña at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Saturday. Álvarez found the net in the 48th minute following an assist from Álex Grimaldo. Goalkeeper Jan Oblak made five crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet for Diego Simeone's side.
