Real Madrid academy sales generated around €215m, funding the rebuild while raising questions over La Fábrica’s path to the first team.

Real Madrid generated approximately €215 million from summer sales of more than a dozen academy graduates, setting a club record. The financial windfall helped fund a senior squad rebuild, which included signing Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to €140 million with add-ons. Notable academy transactions included a €60 million renegotiation with Como over Nico Paz and a combined €50 million permanent transfer fee paid by Fulham for Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios.
Madrid also gained €20 million from a sell-on clause after Liverpool bought Victor Munoz from Osasuna. The academy strategy, shaped by general director Jose Angel Sanchez, focuses on turning graduates into profitable assets while retaining buy-back or sell-on clauses. Despite the record income, the pathway to regular first-team places remains an open challenge, though Madrid retained prospects Joan Martinez and Daniel Yanez while reinvesting in Castilla.
