Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio reportedly received offers from Liverpool, Chelsea, and clubs in Turkey during the summer transfer window, according to a report from Marca. The academy graduate opted to stay at Real Madrid despite the external interest, but he has not played a single minute so far this season.
Asencio is now positioned to make his first appearance of the campaign alongside Antonio Rudiger under manager Jose Mourinho. The opportunity arises as Dean Huijsen serves a suspension following a red card in the Madrid derby and Ibrahima Konate recovers from an injury sustained while on international duty with France.
