Liverpool are considering making Ronald Araujo's loan move from Barcelona permanent after an impressive start to the season. The Uruguayan defender joined Liverpool on loan and has an option to buy set at €55m, which sporting director Julian Ward is reportedly looking to trigger early.
However, a potential hurdle remains Araujo's substantial wages, which currently exceed £210,000 per week. To finalize a permanent transfer, Barcelona may need to negotiate a lower fee if they want to move him off their wage bill.
