Carlos Espi plays just 16 minutes and Jacobo Ramon scores in Spain U-21’s 2 – 1 loss to Finland U-21

Spain U-21 suffered a 2-1 defeat to Finland U-21 in UEFA Euro U-21 qualifying Group A. Otto Rupoit opened the scoring for Finland after Marc Bernal failed to track his run, and a defensive miscue by Alex Valle resulted in Finland's second goal. Jacobo Ramon later headed home a consolation goal for Spain following a cross from Valle, but the team could not complete a comeback.

Head coach David Gordo brought on Carlos Espi in the 74th minute to replace Iker Bravo and partner with starter Gonzalo Garcia in attack. Despite the loss, Spain remains in first place in Group A, holding a two-point lead over second-placed Finland ahead of their match against San Marino on October 1st.
