Ibrahima Konaté returned to full group training for Real Madrid on Tuesday ahead of their upcoming LaLiga match against Villarreal. Meanwhile, young striker Carlos Espí was omitted from Spain's senior matchday squad to face Croatia, and former Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal is reportedly in talks with Getafe manager José Bordalás regarding a potential free transfer move.
Konaté's return provides manager José Mourinho with a defensive boost following Dean Huijsen's suspension. Kylian Mbappé continued indoor rehabilitation for a knee issue, while several international players rejoined the squad at Valdebebas. Elsewhere, Sergio Canales reflected on his early career at Madrid after returning to Racing Santander.
