Reacting to Today’s Pressers: Fede as Captain, Camavinga Reborn, Mourinho’s Three-Year Plan

Managing Madrid's Kiyan Sobhani analyzed Real Madrid's pre-game press conferences ahead of their match against AEK Athens, reviewing comments from manager Jose Mourinho and midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Mourinho stated that his squad requires three years to reach perfection and emphasized the necessity of securing points in Greece. He also discussed utilizing captain Fede Valverde as both a right-back and a midfielder due to squad composition.

Sobhani argues that Valverde performs better as a leader and player from the right-back role rather than in a midfield double-pivot. Camavinga spoke about improving his discipline and mindset after past struggles, which Sobhani links favorably to the arrivals of Mourinho at Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane with the French national team.
