The Story in 60 Seconds

Spain's National Sports Council has submitted a formal complaint to the Administrative Tribunal for Sport against LaLiga president Javier Tebas. The action comes after Tebas published an October 16 social media post comparing Real Madrid TV's communication strategies to the propaganda methods used by Nazi Germany's Joseph Goebbels.

The 16-page proposal, signed by Secretary of State for Sport Jose Manuel Rodriguez Uribes, asks the tribunal to determine if Tebas violated sports dignity laws. The council cited regulations that classify notorious public acts violating sporting dignity or decorum as serious offenses.
