Vinicius Jr to miss Barcelona game because of ban

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr will miss El Clasico against Barcelona following a four-match suspension handed down by the Spanish football federation's disciplinary committee. The Brazilian was sent off during Real's 1-0 victory over Villarreal last Saturday after a pitchside monitor review showed him pulling Nathan Saliba's hair prior to a disallowed goal.

The suspension rules Vinicius out of fixtures against Sevilla on October 18, Barcelona on October 25, Racing Santander on November 1, and Valencia on November 7. He received two matches for violent conduct and two for subsequent protests, with manager Jose Mourinho skipping the post-match conference and Vinicius apologizing to fans on social media.
