The Ravens' playoff hopes suffered a massive blow.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will be placed on injured reserve after suffering a thumb injury that requires surgery during a 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Backup Tyler Huntley was also injured, leaving emergency third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano to finish the game. Josh Allen threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns to move the Bills to 6-1, while the Ravens fell to 4-3.
Elsewhere across the league, the Detroit Lions dealt the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season with a 19-15 victory. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made history by defeating the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 despite quarterback Baker Mayfield failing to complete a single pass, becoming the first team to win without a completion since the 1974 Buffalo Bills.
