A footballer crushed by a steamroller while warming up (video)

Former Premier League player Andros Townsend miraculously escaped serious injury after being run over by a steamroller during a pre-match warmup in Thailand. The 35-year-old winger was preparing for a Thai league match between his current club, PT Prachuap FC, and Pattani FC when the incident occurred. A distracted driver operating the machine, which was being used to level the playing field, drove directly over Townsend.

Despite the shocking nature of the accident, the former England international suffered only minor bruises to his hip and thigh. After receiving clearance from the club's medical staff, Townsend was remarkably able to feature as a late substitute in added time of the match.
