Saint-Etienne goalkeeper Gautier Larsonneur will be sidelined for several weeks due to a sprained knee, head coach Ian Cathro announced ahead of Saturday's match against Guingamp. The 29-year-old shot-stopper has already missed two matches and will miss the upcoming Ligue 2 trip to Brittany as he continues his recovery.
Cathro explained that Larsonneur requires leg strengthening and re-athleticizing, noting he could not specify an exact return date. The coach expressed satisfaction with backup goalkeeper Mamour Ndiaye, praising his calm, balanced performances as Ligue 2 leaders ASSE aim to extend their winning streak.
