Bayern Munich has decided against signing reinforcements during the January transfer window despite a severe wave of injuries. Following a 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund, Ismael Saibari suffered a syndesmotic ligament rupture that required surgery, sidelining him for at least three months, while Serge Gnabry faces four to six weeks out with a thigh tear. Luis Díaz and Jamal Musiala are also dealing with thigh injuries, and Michael Olise is nursing a knee problem.
Despite the mounting absences, club executives Jan-Christian Dreesen and Max Eberl confirmed that the club does not plan to recruit this winter. Bayern expects to recover Gnabry, Musiala, and Díaz by early January and prefers to conserve funds for a major offensive signing in the summer of 2027. Interim coach Aaron Danks will rely on internal options, including youngster Lennart Karl.
