Liverpool have been told summer target Ibrahim Mbaye is “making a name for himself” at Aston Villa this season.

Liverpool have received a glowing assessment of former summer target Ibrahim Mbaye, who is impressing at Aston Villa after the Reds opted against signing him. According to RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins, Liverpool had agreed personal terms with the 18-year-old before withdrawing interest, allowing Villa to secure the forward from Paris Saint-Germain in a permanent €55 million deal.
Hawkins praised Mbaye for establishing himself in Unai Emery's system, noting four assists across ten appearances this season. Liverpool instead concluded a €125 million deal with PSG for winger Bradley Barcola, who has since scored three goals and provided two assists in 12 matches for the club.
