Liverpool want to sign a midfielder in future transfer windows with Lamine Camara among their targets, according to BBC Sport.
Liverpool remain interested in signing Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara in future transfer windows as an alternative to Bournemouth star Alex Scott. The 22-year-old Senegal international, valued at €55 million (£47.1 million), previously came close to joining Chelsea on deadline day before Monaco aborted the permanent transfer.
Chelsea also retain strong interest in Scott after seeing a €74.8 million (£64 million) bid rejected in July, with Bournemouth now reportedly valuing him at €117 million (£100 million). Scott, who previously worked under Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola, will not be allowed to leave in January despite turning down contract extensions.
