With six defeats in eight matches, Olympique de Marseille has had its worst start to a season in over 40

Olympique de Marseille manager Bruno Genesio has become the club's first coach since Mario Zatelli in 1964 to lose six of his first eight matches. The milestone followed a home Europa League defeat to Olympiakos on Thursday evening, leaving OM with two losses in European play alongside a difficult start in Ligue 1.
OM currently sits 13th in the domestic championship with six points from six matches ahead of an upcoming league fixture against Angers. Although Genesio reached a record 44 Europa League matches as a French coach, he has now suffered four straight defeats in the competition.
