Olympique de Marseille sports director Grégory Lorenzi has confirmed major physical limitations within the squad following a run of five consecutive defeats. Speaking to L'Equipe during the international break, Lorenzi revealed that Marseille is currently the team that runs the least in Ligue 1 and frequently falters after an hour of play under manager Bruno Genesio.
Lorenzi explained that the management team cannot overhaul the squad, which largely consists of players retained from the Pablo Longoria era. Instead of making major changes, the club's coaching staff is focusing on tactical adjustments to work around the team's physical deficiencies and optimize current resources.
