No one is talking about Fabian Ruiz as a potential Ballon d’Or winner, but there is no one more deserving than the PSG midfielder, who gave another reminder of his qualities in a 4-2 win over Barcelona at Parc des…
FootballTransfers argues that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz deserves serious consideration for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, scheduled to be awarded on October 26. The 30-year-old was the only player to win both the Champions League and the World Cup during the 2025/26 campaign, recently scoring in PSG's 4-2 win against Barcelona at Parc des Princes.
The article contends that Ruiz is overlooked compared to high-profile candidates like Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappe due to modest statistical totals and less media attention. Despite strong backing from PSG manager Luis Enrique, the outlet suggests Ruiz's understated role makes an individual award victory unlikely.
