The Court of Cassation confirmed this Wednesday the referral for trial of Achraf Hakimi before the Hauts-de-Seine departmental criminal court.

France's Court of Cassation has confirmed the referral of Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi for trial before the Hauts-de-Seine departmental criminal court. The decision comes after the court rejected an appeal filed by Hakimi following an initial ruling made in June. The footballer stands accused of rape regarding alleged events dating back to 2023.
Bertrand Périer, the plaintiff's lawyer before the Court of Cassation, confirmed via an AFP press release that the court found no grounds to admit Hakimi's appeal. The court's decision does not represent a verdict on Hakimi's guilt, which will be determined during his upcoming trial.
