Real Madrid: José Mourinho’s cash comments on Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho publicly defended Vinicius Junior following criticism after the club's 4-3 Champions League comeback victory against Roma. The Brazilian was substituted at the hour mark after a difficult performance and an error that led to an Italian goal. Despite the tactical struggles, Mourinho took responsibility for tactical overloads down the wing and dismissed suggestions of singling out the forward, hinting that Vinicius is likely to start their next Champions League fixture.

Mourinho also addressed Vinicius Junior's domestic situation, noting that the player is currently serving a four-match suspension for pulling Nathan Saliba's hair against Villarreal. The manager commended Vinicius's character and loyalty to Real Madrid, stating that while other players might have sought a transfer under similar difficulties, the forward remains committed to the club with a positive attitude ahead of upcoming matches.
