Michael Carrick gives cryptic response to experimental Manchester United line up

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick offered a cryptic response regarding Bruno Fernandes' exact position ahead of their Champions League match against Atletico Madrid. Asked to confirm if Fernandes would play on the right wing, Carrick simply replied that observers will have to wait and see. Carrick explained that the experimental setup was designed to gain more midfield control after the team had occasionally been too open.

The lineup features summer signings Carlos Baleba and Andrey Santos starting together in midfield for the first time, with Youri Tielemans shifting into an advanced central role. The tactical adjustment follows a 1-1 home draw against Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.
