Acting legend shares first pic from Sir Alex Ferguson 40th anniversary dinner with Man Utd icon surrounded by ex-stars

Actor James Nesbitt shared a photograph from a celebratory dinner marking 40 years since Sir Alex Ferguson was appointed manager of Manchester United. Ferguson took charge at Old Trafford on November 6, 1986, and led the team to 13 Premier League titles and a Treble before retiring in 2013. The celebratory event brought together around 100 guests, including numerous former club figures and football colleagues.

The shared image features Ferguson alongside current United boss Michael Carrick and former players Edwin van der Sar, John O'Shea, Nemanja Vidic, Robin van Persie, Darren Fletcher, Jonny Evans, and Javier Hernandez. Gary and Phil Neville missed the dinner due to a television appearance in the United States.
