Arsenal are monitoring Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong with a view to signing him, though the Blues are keen to extend his contract.

Arsenal are monitoring 20-year-old Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong with a view toward a potential permanent transfer. According to Simon Phillips on The SPTC Podcast, Arsenal are among multiple global clubs showing interest in the young right-back. Chelsea reportedly consider Acheampong an important asset and would view any potential deal as very expensive.
Chelsea are keen to extend Acheampong's contract beyond his current deal that runs to 2029. Despite being in and out of the team last season, the defender has featured in eight of Chelsea's nine matches this season, benefiting from recent playing time following an injury to Reece James.
