Gunners youngster hits another key milestone despite domestic suspension…
Arsenal youngster Max Dowman has earned his maiden call-up to the England Under-21 squad. Head coach Lee Carsley selected the 16-year-old midfielder in his 23-man group for upcoming friendlies against Portugal and France. The milestone comes despite Dowman currently serving a domestic suspension following consecutive red cards for England Under-19s and Arsenal.
Dowman was recently sent off for retaliation during Arsenal's Carabao Cup defeat against Fleetwood, drawing public frustration from manager Mikel Arteta. The Young Lions squad also includes Arsenal's Tommy Setford and Ethan Nwaneri, alongside Tottenham's Archie Gray and Manchester City defender Rico Lewis.
