Former Gunner’s agent reveals he could have stayed in Premier League

Gabriel Martinelli's agent, Marcos Casseb, revealed that the former Arsenal winger had multiple offers to remain in Europe and the Premier League before his summer transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. Casseb noted that clubs from Germany, Italy, and England made approaches, but the Brazilian international chose to leave Arsenal in a mutual decision to pursue a fresh start and an ambitious project.

Martinelli completed a permanent transfer to Al-Hilal for a fee of €70m (£60m), signing a four-year contract worth €20m annually plus bonuses, with Arsenal securing a sell-on clause. Manager Mikel Arteta had previously spoken to the winger directly regarding the move. Casseb also indicated that Martinelli dreams of returning to Corinthians later in his career.
