PSG’s 4-2 win over Barcelona came at a heavy cost, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia facing surgery after suffering a serious knee injury.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Tuesday's 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona. The club confirmed the diagnosis on Wednesday morning, announcing that the Georgian international will undergo surgery in the coming days. The severe knee injury appears likely to end his season after he was hurt shortly before the hour mark.
The match proved costly for PSG, who also lost Ousmane Dembele and Marquinhos to thigh injuries. Dembele was substituted in the 20th minute, while Marquinhos went off alongside Kvaratskhelia in the 59th minute. PSG confirmed both players will require treatment over the coming weeks.
