Andy Madley will referee Liverpool vs Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday, his first Premier League big-six clash in two-and-a-half years…

Andy Madley has been appointed to referee Sunday's Premier League clash between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield. The assignment marks his first time officiating a big-six encounter in two-and-a-half years, having last taken charge of such a fixture in March 2024 when Manchester City defeated Manchester United 3-1.
This will be Madley's sixth time overseeing an Arsenal top-flight match, compared to 17 previous Liverpool Premier League games. His history with Arsenal includes a contentious 0-0 draw against Newcastle United in January 2023, where a denied stoppage-time penalty appeal resulted in Arsenal receiving an FA fine for failing to control their players.
